Members, It’s Time to Vote!
The Nominating Committee for the Board of Trustees vacancies to replace Ustaine Talley and Penny Ware  The deadline to cast your vote is Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at midnight, MST.

Currently, the nominees are:

Pam Goff

Pam has been president and chief executive officer of her own construction services company since 1995. A Certified Public Accountant (1980), Pamela has held responsible financial positions in energy, minerals, and the military. She was educated in Colorado universities with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting. She expects to graduate from the Rutgers University Excellence in Entrepreneurship program this May.

Pamela is active in many local professional, CPA, women’s, and business organizations in Wheat Ridge and Denver. She is a member of the Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado. Pamela currently lives in Lakewood. She joined our Community in October 2021.

  

 

 

Alan Hubbard

Alan taught elementary school in Jefferson County for 30 years. Alan served on the Board of the Teachers Association there, was formerly on the board of a Condominium Association, and served two terms on the board of his current Townhouse Association. Alan is not new to New Thought and Unity. He has subscribed to the Daily Word for 30 years. He visited Unity Village in 2002 and has often used Silent Unity for prayer. A fall in the shower that led to a hip replacement and a critical health issue led Alan to study “The Story of Unity.”

Alan became a Religious Science Practitioner at Mile Hi Church in 2005. He served as business manager for “Science of Mind Magazine” with Rev. Dr. David Goldberg. Alan and his husband, Mike Duran, became members of Unity on the Avenue last October, and enjoy the services in person and on YouTube. Alan brings a key skill in organization.

 

Heidi Huisjen

Heidi had a 20-year career in Arts Management, including the development and management of the fine arts program at Children’s Hospital Colorado for 11 years until early 2021. She has experience in program development, management, planning, and marketing. She’s been a member of Unity on the Avenue for six years and a member of the Chaplain Team for three years. “I work every day on my prayer practice, inviting the Divine into our community and in my life,” she says. Since retirement, she’s also dedicated time to volunteering in programs for older adults, bringing love and time to seniors through such activities as the Boulder Chapter of Cycling Without Age.

“I like to foster a creative mindset for myself and encourage it in others,” Heidi continues. “I believe in inviting new and interesting ways of doing things when change is needed. I also like to encourage people and organizations to shake things up a bit, and encourage new perspectives.” She says she is looking forward to seeing our Community and the world evolve in new and unexpected ways.
