Two New UOTA SpiritGroups Welcome You!
Unity’s SpiritGroups give you an opportunity to connect with people in a deep, meaningful, and fulfilling way. They create a safe space where you are heard, appreciated, and loved for who you are. They are designed to inspire infinite connections, one small group at a time, by coming together in a spirit of love and support.
You are invited to participate in Unity on the Avenue’s upcoming SpiritGroups, Foundations of Unity and “Handbook to Higher Consciousness.” Both groups will be held in Fellowship Hall. To sign up for a SpiritGroup, please look for the sign-up sheets in the back of the sanctuary.
Foundations of Unity SpiritGroup
This group will be held on February 5, February 12, February 19, and February 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. The social activity and service project will be held during the first two weeks of March. This SpiritGroup will be facilitated by Lori Smith, LUT, UOTA Spiritual Leader.

“Handbook to Higher Consciousness” SpiritGroup.
This group will be held on Fridays, beginning on February 6, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. This group will run for seven weeks: five weeks of book study, plus a social activity and service project. This SpiritGroup will be led by Clyde Nagle and Nina Abernathy.
About: Ken Keyes Jr., who lived with polio for most of his life, passed away in 1995. He was the founder of the Living Love System for Happiness. First published in 1973, “Handbook to Higher Consciousness” is a classic that captures the essence of Keyes’ teachings and philosophy, which asserts that we all have addictions or inner demands built unconsciously into our bio computer in the early years of life. They prevent us from experiencing joy, happiness, and the ability to love. Keyes shows us how to t become aware of these addictions and uplevel our demands to preferences. We will learn about the seven centers of consciousness and the 12 pathways to higher consciousness. Copies of the book will be available for $7 each.
