Navigating and Organizing for the Second Half of Life

Navigating and Organizing for the Second Half of Life will be held in the UOTA’s main building on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. All are invited to attend this workshop. There is no charge to attend; love offerings are appreciated.

This event is sponsored by the nonprofit foundation Designing Brighter Tomorrows, founded and directed by Linda Marsolek, MS, who will also be a speaker.

The keynote speaker will be Sue Mackey, founder of Out of the Box End-Of-Life Planning and creator of the Exit File™. Sue will speak on how to choose your Medical Durable Power of Attorney (your health-care agent). She will also address a dementia directive and provide an overview of the services that she provides for her clients. For more about Sue Mackey’s background and credentials, click here.

After the refreshment break, Penny Ware, PhD, will present information on home sharing, in which she has participated for the last three years. This program enables two or more unrelated people to share housing for their mutual benefit.

Then Linda Marsolek will present on seven important areas for those in the Second Half of Life: Creativity; Movement; Health Practices; Planning; Caregiving; Personal Growth; and Connections. A former Certified Senior Advisor, she is dedicated to helping others thrive and grow.
