Angels in our Midst

This season I have encountered at least six angels on two separate occasions, both of which involved a car breaking down.  The first was when I was going to Cuba Cuba with Ana.  We had a wonderful dinner and time.  Afterwards, we felt happy and very full as we walked to the car.  And then, I tried to start the Subaru.  No lights, no engine trying to turn over, absolutely nothing. I called for roadside assistance. We waited and waited.  We asked a few people for a jump, when finally a woman offered to help.  We were just popping up the hood when Augustine pulled up.  He tested the battery and declared that it was totally fried and unable to hold a charge. The next thing I know is that Subaru is on his tow truck with Anna & I in the front seat.  The next day I bought a battery and my neighbor, Stephen, put it in for me.  I count four angels right there.  Ana, the woman, Augustine, and Stephen.

The second occassion, happened within days.  Again, the battery went dead, only this time in my Toyota. I left it at the Taoist Tai Chi Center and caught a ride home with Alice. I went to get a new battery from the same guy who said 'weren't you just here the other day?' I caught a ride with Penny to tai chi with the new battery in hand.  All was good until I started home and the lights went out and the car slowed way down and stopped.  Please understand it was rush hour on Speer Blvd and I was in the left hand lane several blocks west of Colorado Blvd. So the car is down for the count and me and my cane are stumbling around on the median trying to warn people becuase I had NO lights, not even hazards.  I call road side assistance and text Alice.  Of course my phone is dying, but I did manage to speak with the tow company before it died.  OK.  It's getting dark.  I am now on the right side of the street.  A car pulls in front of mine and a young man steps out & helps me recross the street and offers a warm place in his car. Another car pulls in front of him and he asks if I knew the person.  No, I didn't recognize the car.  Then I saw Raydiance stepping out of the car!  She had seen me and went around to come back up to assist me. They are placing flares when up come, wait for it, Augustine!  My car gets towed and I ride with Raydiance to the shop where I meet up with Alice!  Yes, Raydiance called her for me. Turns out that my alternator also went out!  More Angels: Penny, the young man, Raydiance, and Augustine (again).

So I just want to thank all of these angels and all the angels I have ever encountered!
