Penny Ware, Licensed Unity Teacher will be facilitating the class, “The Art of Living” written by Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh on Mondays 1-2:30 pm at Unity on the Avenue beginning on March 3, 2025.
Thich Nhat Hanh is a spiritual leader, poet, and peace activist revered throughout the world for his powerful teachings and best-selling writings on mindfulness and peace. This book answers life’s deepest questions and helps us to experience the happiness and freedom we desire. Seven transformative meditations are presented to open us to new perspectives on our lives, our relationships, and our interconnectedness with the world around us!
We hope you will join us for a deeply meaningful and transformative discussion on these powerful teachings! It is not necessary for the participants to purchase the book. If you would like to attend this class, please contact Penny Ware, LUT at 303-908-0879.

A New UOTA SpiritGroup Welcomes You!
Thursdays
6:00 - 7:30 pm Starting July 3rd
SpiritGroups give you an opportunity to connect with people in a deep, meaningful, and fulfilling way. They create a safe space where you are heard, appreciated, and loved for who you are. They are designed to inspire infinite connections, one small group at a time, by coming together in a spirit of love and support. You are invited to participate in Unity on the Avenue’s new SpiritGroup, Infinite Connections, which will begin in July (details below).
Infinite Connections SpiritGroup. This SpiritGroup will be held on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. It will begin on July 3, 2025, and will continue through August 14, 2025. This group will be hosted by Lori Smith, LUT.
About: This group is based on “Infinite Connections: A Beginner’s Guide to Creating Heaven on Earth,” with Mendhi Audlin, founder of SpiritGroups; Eugene Holden, leader of World Ministry of Prayer; and Jana Stanfield, singer/songwriter.
This small group will forge deep and meaningful connections with Divine Spirit, one another, and the greater community. We will explore five spiritual disciplines:
• Communion with Spirit
• Connection with each other
• Compassion in challenging times
• Community service
• Challenging ourselves to spiritually grow
We will cultivate a balanced and thriving spiritual life that enriches not just our individual journeys but one that resonates throughout our entire community. Each of the six sessions will inspire you to deepen your relationships and foster a sense of unity.
We will schedule a social event that promises to bring our group together in joy and purpose. We will also plan a fun-filled community service project that will allow us to embody the spiritual disciplines we will explore, making a meaningful impact in the greater community beyond our church walls. And finally, we will gather for a celebratory Sunday, where we will honor the spiritual growth and connections fostered within our group!

New Member Class | Foundations of Unity
August 21st, 28th, September 4th & 11th
6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
If you would like to become a member of Unity on the Avenue—or would just like to learn more about the basics of Unity—plan to attend the Foundations of Unity class. This class will be held on August 21; August 28; September 4; and September 11, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. It will be facilitated by Rev. Dr. Wanda Bedinghaus.
We invite you to embark on a spiritual journey that unveils the core principles and beliefs of Unity. We will explore the profound teachings of Jesus, presented in a practical format that resonates with our daily lives. This class is designed not only to enrich your understanding, but also to empower you with practical tools for transformation. As you align with the universal laws that govern all things, you will discover a pathway to living a more successful and fulfilling life.
Upon completion of the class, you will not only gain valuable insights and tools, but also open the door to becoming a valued member of our Unity on the Avenue community. We are excited to celebrate your commitment in a special installation ceremony this fall, where you will be welcomed into a family that shares your passion for Unity and spiritual growth. Together, let us embrace this new chapter with joy and anticipation, as you take this significant step in your spiritual journey.
