Unity Pet Lovers!

Saturday, May 5th

The 25th annual Furry Scurry dog walk is more than just a fundraiser for homeless pets. It's also a guaranteed good time!

Furry Scurry participants take a springtime stroll around Washington Park with thousands of people and their pooches. There are refreshments, food trucks, contests, dog demonstrations and more than 150 pet-rated sponsor and vendors at our Flealess Market.

Most importantly, your registration and participation in the Furry Scurry help the Dumb Friends League care for more than 22,000 homeless pets and houses each year. Funds raised provide medical care to sick and injured animals, behavior training that allows pets to be adopted.

That’s the paw-some team of friends I’m putting together for the Dumb Friends League Furry Scurry on May 5 at Washington Park.

The Furry Scurry dog walk is more than just a fundraiser to help provide safe shelter and loving care for homeless pets in our community. It’s also a ton of fun—especially if you’re part of my team!

So don’t miss out—just click here to join Unity Pet Lovers!

See you on May 5.

Dying to Wake Up
by Rajiv Parti, MD

facilitated by Mark Moyles

A rare glimpse into heaven, hell, and previous lives—Dr. Rajiv Parti’s near-death experience brought him on a journey through the afterworld, leading to a spiritual awakening that transformed his career, his lifestyle, and his most fundamental beliefs.

In this remarkable “spiritual wake-up call” (Suzanne Giesemann, author of Messages of Hope), Dr. Parti provides rare details of heaven, hell, the afterlife, and angels and offers you the opportunity to attain peace and live a better life here on Earth.

It's time for us to sign-up and join a Dinner Circle for 2018

The goal for dinner circles is for each participant to get a closer relationship through fellowship outside of church.
It’s also good to explain about singles and non-members being welcome, so that people are comfortable in joining.
The size of group is normally 8 people. The frequency is every 6-8 weeks, allowing everyone in the group an opportunity to host.
The host is basically responsible for (1) setting the date/time; (2) choosing and communicating an entrée and asking volunteers to supply salad, side dish, dessert; (3) receiving RSVP’s. It’s important that, when guests let the host know what dish they’re bringing; they “Reply All” so that other guests don’t duplicate a dish.

Julie Mudlo is the current Dinner Circle coordinator. This program has been a nice success and we anticipate another great year of connection, sharing, celebrating and enjoying meals together!

Sign up at Unity on the Avenue the next few Sundays.
